The Universiti Malaysia Sabah is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and is led by Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj Mansor. It has a total of 14,637 students and 2,939 staff members. It was found that the language proficiency among graduates is declining, which is a concern for Chairman Azman Hashim. The university is currently under the leadership of Musa Aman as the new vice-chancellor and Tan Sri Azman Hashim as Pro Chancellor. Former chief minister Musa Aman was awarded an honorary doctorate and Hajiji was appointed as the new pro-chancellor. The university is managed by a top management team consisting of a Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, and Board of Directors.
