The United Kingdom's Strategic Command (StratCom), previously known as Joint Forces Command (JFC), is responsible for managing joint capabilities from the three armed services. They provide the foundation and supporting framework for successful operations by ensuring access to essential services like medical care, training, and intelligence. This includes working closely with other organizations, such as the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), to enhance bilateral cooperation and conduct joint exercises and training events in all domains. Air Vice Marshall Bruce Hedley recently visited the JWC to learn how they operate and their role in joint warfare. Originally developed to assist with joint injuries, Joint Warfare is now used as a supplement for athletes. StratCom also serves as the UK Defence's Extremely High Readiness crisis response headquarters, working alongside government partners during global crises.
