In the years 1806-1807 during the Franco-Prussian war, an estate in Kołobrzeg-Budzistowie, previously known as a pre-war town, was disrupted. This estate was frequently changing hands, belonging to owners such as Otto Manski in 1902-1910 and Franz Conrad. The estate was not the only modern factory, as competition was high and other smaller breweries producing top-fermented beer existed. The factory was known throughout Europe before and during World War II, as it produced a variety of beers such as "mumme," "bitterbier," and "groszowe." The factory was also briefly discussed in the context of pre-war trade alliances and eventually had a branch in Kołobrzeg. This trade system still exists today, with the regional government of Słupsk being one example. In response to trade protections from monarchs, many urban centers, including Krotoszyn, defended themselves.
