Adolescence is a time of increased vulnerability due to changes in the developing brain, behavior, and emotions, often leading to the need for self-regulation. However, a recent study showed an overall trend towards improving healthy lifestyles among adolescents. YouTube is the most popular platform among teens, followed by TikTok. Over the years, there has been a decline in teen pregnancy rates and mental health issues are seen as a major problem for this age group. Recommendations have been made to promote healthy social media use among teens.
