Can you still use Skype call forwarding after May 5

Skype will officially discontinue its services on May 5, 2025. As part of this shut down, several features will no longer be available, including call forwarding. This means that after this date, users will not be able to utilize Skype's call forwarding service.

In addition to call forwarding, other features such as SMS and caller ID setup will also be discontinued. Users can expect that Skype will not be operational, and any data associated with Skype will be deleted after the end of 2025 if it hasn't been exported or deleted by then (source: TechCrunch, Newsweek).

After May 5, 2025, Microsoft plans to direct users towards Microsoft Teams, where the Skype Dial Pad will still be accessible for remaining paid users through the Skype web portal and within Teams (source: Microsoft, Windows 10 Forums).

For further details on the transition and closure, users can refer to additional sources such as the official Microsoft support page (Microsoft Support).
